What is the Pot Posse?

Pot Posse is a monthly subscription program with Almeda Pottery. When you sign up for his Pot Posse you will be guaranteed to receive a beautiful original piece each month. Jon will carefully select the shapes and finishes for your pot each month. Each month you will be pleasantly surprised when you open your box to see what Jon has created for you. The Pot Posse is a great way to support Jon’s work and to ensure you get his newest pieces.

What is a Curio Wheel and how can I get one?

The Curio Wheel is a functional miniature pottery wheel that Jon designed and built. For the Curio Wheel Jon purchases the motors, has the wheel heads machined, enclosures powder coated, but all the construction, wiring and assembly is done in house by Jon. Because of this supplies are limited! The Curio Wheel  for sale on the website is not battery powered but comes with a standard wall plug. The wheel is intended for use for miniature pottery only. The wheels are released in small batches on the website and retail for $295.00

What is Plein Air Pottery?

Similar to Plein Air painting, it is pottery that is made outside on location. Jon added a battery to his Curio Wheel in order to throw outside on location. Jon sets up camera to capture the process with a timelapse and posts them on his instagram feed. The videos are very meditative to watch as you see the pot being formed as well as the scenery behind changing as time passes. Check out he hashtag #pleinairpottery

Do you take commissions?

Currently Jon is not taking commission work in order to keep up with the high demand of his online shop.

Do you teach pottery classes?

Jon is hoping to host a miniature pottery workshop in 2017 in the PNW and possibly Hawaii too! Make sure to get on the mail list when more information is available.

Do you have a studio or storefront I can come and visit in Tacoma?

Jon works from home and does not have a space for visitors. However he often has pieces for sale at the Tacoma Art Museum which is a lovely place to visit.

My store is interested in your products, do you offer them wholesale?

Yes there are opportunities for wholesale with Jon’s pieces. Due to demand wholesale is limited, however Jon enjoys working with museum shops and galleries. Please email for more information.
